Teachers upload daily lesson plans and activities/worksheets on SeeSaw and host daily Google Meet calls with students to go over instructions/concepts/complete activities (groups and one-on-ones). They create instructional videos that are posted on SeeSaw daily and are readily available for extra Google Meet sessions, providing flexibility for schedules, learning and activities. Daily feedback is given to the students regarding progress and next steps. We want to reassure parents that although our building may be closed, learning and community continue.
Students are encouraged to complete activities available on Seesaw to the best of their ability – students are not required to complete all activities – and to attend Google Meet sessions. They should ask/answer questions during Google Meet calls to strengthen understanding, request additional support when they feel the need and partake in school events such as after school activities and daily challenges when available.
Parents are encouraged to contact teachers to give feedback/ask questions. Thank you for providing technical support should your children run into a problem and assist them in uploading work on Seesaw when needed. Please provide them with a comfortable, conducive workspace and device for learning and finally, capture the exceptional continuous learning experience in photos/videos of students completing their work, daily challenges and after school programs!
